Netrunner: Magnet

The Magnet card is an old piece, first released back in 2015 for the FFG set. Later, in 2023, it received a facelift under the care of Null Signal Games. But in 2023, players didn’t just get one Magnet card.

As part of the 2023 H2 Circuit Opener Kit, an alternate art version of Magnet was also made. It features a slightly more unique frame and a somewhat more intimidating illustration, showing the end of a not‑so‑successful run.

As a curiosity, I also tried creating a unique overlay that would have fully integrated with the artwork. The magnetic lines would have emerged from the card’s textboxes, really emphasizing the idea of this program acting like a trap woven into the information panels. I would have loved this solution, but in the end we stuck with the standard frame.
