Pokédex #2

After two months, it's time to report on the progress. :)

I'm happy to announce that the Pokédex is coming along nicely! The hundredth creature has been added to the collection! All kinds of expansions, all kinds of generations. It's still easy to make progress, but I wonder how long it will take to complete the last hundred. There will be plenty of duplicates!

Three different sources contributed cards to the folder.

The first and largest package was a birthday surprise. A 150-piece Mystery Box! There weren't many valuable cards in it, but that's not what these are about; however, it's a great start to such a collection. Nearly half of the package ended up in the folder. For example, this trio:

I was surprised myself at how much I liked the style of these three illustrations. I tend to prefer more detailed, darker, contrasting images... but maybe those wouldn't suit this game? Strong colors and bold outlines are what's needed!

The second pack was my own purchase. I came across a few Destined Rivals packs at Lidl. I didn't get it either, but hey, why not?!

No big break here, but I ran into these cats again. I already have at least three different cards of each of these two Pokémon. Could they be the new Meowth-Persian duo?

The third set of cards came from a magazine supplement. Six cards, two different expansions. Included this card, which is currently the last card in the folder:

So, my questions are:

• What is this creature?

• Is the mask an object or is it the creature itself?

• Who is the Ogre and why does he have a hammer?

• Are the Teal Mask and other prefixes in the names that common, or am I just finding them in every package?

• And most importantly, what is this creature?!

Somehow, 151 still feels the closest to me. :)
